Employment Type:Part timeShift:Night ShiftDescription:SUMMARY: Continually observes patients’ electrocardiographic patterns and accurately recognizes and reports abnormalities and arrhythmias to Registered Nurse. Completed documentation according to hospital policy in logbook and medical record. High school diploma or equivalent required.One or more years of college desired with desire for progressively more challenging work assignments preferred. Previous experience in an acute care hospital is desirable. Previous EKG, 12 lead EKG and patient care experience preferred. Successfully complete initial EKG competency assessment and all subsequent assessments. Ability to trust own judgment and implement emergency protocols when necessary. Ability to effectively problem solve situations to achieve the desired outcome. Shows how to use (through a competency assessment) a standard desktop and windows based computer system, including a basic understanding of email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job. Stand, sit (80-100% of the time), Bend, climb, reach, twist (50-80% of the time), Crawl, squat, crouch, stoop kneel (< 20% of the time), Utilize far and near vision. Depth perception. Fine motor skill. Manual dexterity, Exposure and tolerance to repetitive noises, secluded work environment, interact with a variety of other staff during stressful periods of time.
