Join our program to get experience in your field while also learning more about the retail industry and the breadth of career opportunities that support the shopper experience. Your internship will include interaction with other interns, experts in your area of study, and Meijer senior leadership.The projects that will be given to the Food Safety/Quality interns will be focused in key areas of the supply chain that will give them a broad perspective of the supply chain from procurement to manufacturing and product development, as well as involvement in engaging projects where they can make a difference. Past Supply Chain internship projects have included product flow data analysis, category velocity analysis, direct to store delivery model, and value stream process mapping. This Food Safety/Quality internship should be a well-rounded experience that shows the span and opportunity within Meijer supply chain and provides an end-to-end Supply Chain experience.In our Food Safety/Quality department, we can expose you to a number of different aspects, such as procurement and merchandising strategies, product development, manufacturing QA, measuring own brand vendor quality standards, and customer service.
