job summary:

This is a supercenter chain throughout the Midwest with corporate headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They are looking to add a POS Hardware Engineer that can work effectively with a series of teams both in and out of house, testing and working with NCR Point of Sale systems. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of POS equipment with specific focus on those peripherals and systems provided by NCR. The right candidate will need to understand:

Hardware Deployment

Driver Deployment

Firmware Deployment

Software Deployment

System use from a customer point of view

This highly flexible role will not only review current POS systems but will also be involved in new equipment testing, familiarity with logs, troubleshooting, and determination either of quick resolution or to engage the support teams and developers. You will be working in an Agile SAFe environment so a commitment to collaborative teamwork is essential.

Role required current on-site availability.
