The company is the largest manufacturer of industrial trucks in Europe, the second-largest producer of forklifts globally and a leading provider of warehouse automation.Dematic Corp. is looking for a Proposal Specialist to be based in one of the many U.S. Dematic offices located in any of the following states (Michigan, Wisconsin, Utah, Texas or Georgia). This role is responsible for managing and producing sales proposals in a timely manner for our Business Solutions team.Essential Role and Responsibilities:
Produce formal and effective proposals
Monitor and edit proposal content for adherence to the companies technical and quality standards
Coordinate and integrate opportunity specific detail from various business team authors into the proposal
Monitor the proposal deadlines and keep Sales alert regarding information required for proposal completion
Work proactively in the continuous improvement of company proposal templates and proposal processes
Function as the lead department contact regarding technical proposal content and language
Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding company technological proposal language and specifications
Responds to semi-complex inquiries related to the use of company technologies and services
Conducts training sessions in areas such as technical proposal language, sales proposal standards, etc. to the Business Solutions team
Job Family Responsibilities:
Participates in the review of sales proposals for products and service deliverables to determine proposal accuracy and quality
Participates in the development, editing and writing of sales proposals and other sales-related documents.
Replies to sales inquiries and proposal approval requests in a timely manner
Participates on business teams to analyzes geographic regions and customer requirements in development of sales offers that target achievement of company goals
Assists sales staff in submission of company proposal documents
Qualification Requirements:
BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas
Typically, 5-8 years of successful experience in proposal writing or in a related field and has successfully demonstrated the key responsibilities as presented above
Experience in multi-facility, international organization and adept at working in diverse multi-cultural, corporate environments
High degree of proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent technical and non-technical writing skills
Able to multi-task and work in a high-growth, fast-paced and deadline driven environment successfully
