Job Summary: Work in a dynamic environment to share the Italian gelateria experience! Ability to work as part of a team is important, as a gelato chef and server you will work with other team members to deliver excellent customer service in an authentic and fun environment. Ability to work independently is also important, as this person will be depended on to complete individual projects on an as needed basis. Examples of specific responsibilities include greeting guests, serving gelato, espresso and other Iorio's products, creating gelato masterpieces, answering questions, cleaning equipment and dishes, updating flavors & specials, smiling, learning, updating company reports, and other duties as necessary for delivering the Italian gelato experience. Tasting gelato, though not required, is a delicious perk of the job!
Job Qualifications:
- Results driven, proactive, and self-motivated
- High level of integrity
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Work experience in service industry is a plus
- Love of gelato or other Italian foods and desserts is a plus!
Compensation:
- Commensurate with experience
- Potential bonus and profit sharing
Location and Timeline: Gelatistas will work in an Iorio's Gelato store opening in the Kentwood Horrocks starting March 2019
