Job duties:
You will be cross trained in several different areas of the business so that you can help in whatever department you are needed. Your main responsibility will be shipping for a majority of the day, but if that wraps up early we will have you do some other tasks to make sure you get at least 40 hours every week.
Shipping: Assemble orders, prepare goods for shipment and pack orders in a variety of boxes. Using computer and shipping software to create shipping labels and shipping information. You must also be able to enter data in Microsoft excel (computer skills are necessary). Keep warehouse clean and organized. When you are not shipping, you will be doing computer data projects to help the business launch new product and / or customer service tasks. You must be accurate and strive for 100% perfection in making sure you ship the correct item to the right customer order.
Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00-9:00 am start time, end time when shipping etc is completed.
Depending on order volume, you may need to stay late on busy ship days (example: Wednesday / Thursday during the week of peak periods like: Christmas Rush, spring / summer peak periods). Several days a week may be later than 6:30 pm finish time during these peak periods.
No weekends. No Holidays. Overtime may be needed during peak times.
Please note: This is not a hi-lo operator position.
Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. We would prefer someone with warehouse / shipping experience and / or customer service experience (but not necessary as we will train the right person). Must be able to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift when shipping, be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs., be able to pass an initial drug test, random drug tests, background check, be on time and reliable, have reliable transportation and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
You must be computer savvy / proficient as most everything is done with a computer and various software programs.
Honesty and attention to detail are a must! You must be able to adapt to new processes and procedures as well as be friendly and willing to do your best every day. If you are a quick learner and like the challenge of different tasks each day this may be for you.
If you have experience in the Powersports industry (motorcycle, ATV / UTV, snowmobile etc) that is a plus.
$12.00 per hour to start, review after 90 days with potential for a raise.
Potential for more per hour with the right experience. Potential future pay raise(s) for accuracy and work ethic.
