Position Objective:

To perform major repairs and critical preventive maintenance activities on production and related equipment to achieve maximum efficiency.

Essential Functions:

1. Demonstrate the ability to do major repairs on presses and other equipment, such as shaft, bearing, or gear replacement.

2. Design, repair, and replace brackets, guards, and other safety devices on all production equipment.

3. Perform preventive maintenance such as filter checks, gearbox lubrication, and belt checks.

4. Trouble-shoot system failure on all assigned equipment.

5. Direct people involved on a mechanical maintenance job with little supervision.

6. Resolve problems through disassembly and reassembly, paying close attention to timing and bearing tolerances and clearances.

7. Operate welding equipment, lift trucks, lathes, mills, and grinders.

8. Perform minor electrical tasks, such as checking and replacing fuses or cord connectors.

9. Assist in some minor electrical trouble-shooting situations.

10. Adhere to Drawform policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

11. Light/medium fabrication

12. Perform other duties as directed or assigned.Qualifications

Required:

· Ability to trouble-shoot mechanical problems and resolve them

· Possess appropriate welding skills

· Knowledge of pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes

· Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems

· Ability to read and understand blueprints

· High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.

Preferred

· Knowledge of electrical work, including ability to use PLC’s and reading electrical schematics

· Solid background in machine maintenance

· Understanding of manufacturing processesAdditional Information
