Title: Chemical Operator
Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Start Date/Duration: ASAP! Temp to hire!
o Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
o Shift:
Days: 7am – 3:30pm (M-F)
Afternoons: 3pm – 1:30am (M-Th)
Job Duties & Responsibilities: Assignment will include but is not limited to operation of cryogenic deburring machines and Production mold line support.
Operate Bin handling equipment, and other common material moving equipment
Be responsible for identification of and reporting of safety violations or concerns and be generally responsible for the duties that will be assigned to them
Must be willing to work all shifts and overtime as required
Interfacing with product and equipment
Providing support to team members in activities such as operation of chemical processes, loading and unloading tank trucks and rail cars and other operational activities as needed
Demonstrating good safety standards
Pumping and loading/unloading of tank trucks and rail cars
Troubleshooting equipment
Operating a forklift
Chemical processes
Qualification:
Minimum of 1 year experience working in a production manufacturing environment
3 years experience as a chemical operator preferred
Basic computer skills
Must work well in a team environment
Demonstrate good work habits (attendance, safety, housekeeping, etc.)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs.
Must be able to work from heights to small contained areas
Must be able to wear a face mask/shield when needed
