Small Kalamazoo litigation firm is looking for a full-time paralegal to fill an immediate need in its busy insurance defense practice. Job duties include drafting/answering pleadings and discovery, review/summarizing medical records and legal research. This position will also require performance of legal assistant tasks on an as needed basis, such as court filings, scheduling depositions and hearings, drafting correspondence, managing attorney calendars and communicating with clients and third parties.
Paralegal certificate or degree required, as well as prior litigation experience. Previous experience in personal injury litigation or insurance defense is preferred, but not required.
