Position/Title: Swim Coach
Hours: Weekday evenings (6-8:30pm)
Starting date: Immediately
Job description/Responsibilities:
The Waverly Piranhas Swim Club is seeking a part-time coach for our year round age-group competitive swim club. The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
ï· Coach at practices, all dual/tri- meets , and possibly USS-M meets
ï· Motivate and work with swimmers on achieving individual/team goals
ï· Communicate and work effectively with swimmers, parents, board, and members of coaching staff
ï· Maintain current certifications as required by USA Swimming
Certifications required: CPR/AED, Lifeguard and First Aid
Additional requirements:
In compliance with USA Swimming, all coaches will be required to pass a criminal background check. In addition, USA membership will require completion of online Athlete Protection Training as well as an online Water Safety Training depending on your Lifeguard certification.
Qualifications:
Experience as a competitive swimmer (i.e. club, high school, college). Must also have experience with coaching age-group competitive swimmers and/or Learn-to-Swim program coaching experience with the ability to work effectively with younger swimmers.
