Title: Tanium Support Engineer Pay Rate: $60,000-$65,000/annual salary Employment Type: Full-time W-2 employee Current Openings: 4 Start Date: Immediate. Following interview/approval and background check. Location: Prefer candidates living anywhere in Michigan. Work will be 100% remote. Role: Work directly with our customers to resolve Tanium technical issues and answer technical questions specific to endpoint security. With a primary focus on customer satisfaction, our Tanium Support Engineers work both reactively and proactively to improve the overall experience of our customers when using Tanium. This role will report to an IT Security Support Manager. Responsibilities:
Experience installing and configuring Windows, MacOS, various Linux flavors or AIX
A focus in customer service working directly with end users
Enterprise security or operations experience
Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, Active Directory
Knowledge of corporate firewall administration, port forwarding, etc.
Working knowledge of virtualization.
Work cross functional with other teams to drive initiatives
Ability to master new concepts and technologies; continually striving to master the Tanium platform and modules
Problem solving; can break problems down into manageable, ordered piece parts and successfully convey the problem statement and plan to others.
Aptitude for comprehending complex troubleshooting.
Requirements/Background/Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in one or more areas of networking, security, operations, scripting, and/or programming experience in a corporate or educational setting. Apprenticeship opportunities available
Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate certifications are a plus
Bachelor’s degree or AA in Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field a plus
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication
