Job Description:This company is automotive manufacturer in SW Michigan. They have multiple plants in Niles, as well as plants in Benton Harbor and South Bend. They are hiring general production workers for all plants, all shifts. The candidates will be responsible for a variety of duties, including operating various machinery, grinding finished parts, visually inspecting, and packaging materials for shipment. The candidate will be standing for the entire duration of their shift.Pay:1st shift - $17/hr2nd/3rd Shift - $20/hrShift: varies by location/position1st Shift (4am-2pm or 6am-4pm)2nd shift (2pm - Midnight or 2pm-10pm)Most positions at this company require little to no experience, although prior experience is a big plus.Large Press and Transfer Press:The are large, coil fed presses. These positions requite more heavy lifting, and are constantly running. Experience working with coils or dies here are preferred, but not required. These parts mainly go school buses (bumpers, fenders, etc.)Lasers:These positions require some training (1-2 weeks for Bystronic Laser, 4+ weeks for Mitsubishi Laser). Lifting 20-50 pounds, breaking parts out of plates.BLM Laser - Lifting skid plates, loading and unloading part, grinding edges, inspecting on fixture.Bystronic - fairly easy to learn and run, load part and program, push the button to start machine, basic part replacement and troubleshooting.Mitsubishi - harder to learn, more intricate loading process, more nozzle and part replacement and troubleshootingPress Brake/Restrike:Basic press operating, loading sheets, button pushing, basic inspection.Assembly:Basic assembly, using and and air tools (most screw guns are pre-programmed to the specific tightness needed for that part). Consisting lifting and standing.Spot Weld:Basic resistance welding mostly.
