Well known Traverse City area company that is involved in the community and creates careers for it's employees is seeking Production Line Workers to do packing, sorting and other duties as needed on a 4 on and 4 off work schedule! 1st and 2nd shift available and starting pay is $13.00 per hour with a premium paid for 2nd shift. Must be able to stand or walk through an entire work shift and calls for regular bending, reaching, twisting and lifting of weight up to 40lbs. Positions are rotated to offer variety in the work place but candidate must be able to work in warm conditions. Application process is very simple, orientation and training provided.
·Learn and rotate in all stations of production and packaging.
·Job tasks may vary depending on product being produced.
·Dumping pails, boxes or totes of fruit into infusion bins or on to a belt.
·Conducts consistent visual inspection of finished product removing any foreign or extraneous matter to include pits and stems.
·Pull product samples for quality testing.
·Operate bin stir machine per qualification guidelines ensuring bin stir log is completed both legibly and accurately.
·Monitor WIP tote with product from tumbler.
·Loading empty pails and lids into pail washer.
·Stacking boxes pails onto a pallet.
·Assist with dry feed of product to various processes
·Box making, taping, labeling, inserting poly liners check weigh station.
·Required to attend daily pre-shift meetings.
·Clean as you go philosophies ensuring neat and clean work areas.
