Sensortech Systems, Inc. (Sensortech) is a B2B moisture measurement and process control manufacturing company based in Oxnard, CA and servicing customers around the world. We are experiencing a tremendous growth in our industry and have an immediate need for a reliable and confident Field Technical Sales Representative to help service our customers and drive our expansion in the Midwest. We specialize in two technologies: Near InfraRed NIR and Radio Frequency RF. Online moisture control is a Key Performance Indicator KPI to virtually every manufacturing industry, so the target market is very broad. This broad market makes our prospecting sales strategy a great opportunity for the individual with the right level of motivation and experience.

Position Summary

Field Technical Sales Representative will develop a thorough understanding of the application and operation of Sensortech's instruments. Through his/her understanding, he/she will be able to configure, calibrate, install, operate, and troubleshoot Sensortech's instruments in lab environment and in the field. Sensortech will consider any qualified candidate in the Midwest territory, as long as they can drive our expansion in all of the following sates: ND, SD, NE, MN, IO, MO, WI, IL, KS, MI, IN, OH

Job Functions

This is a technical sales role requiring a sound level of technical competency, a good reasoning ability with strong communication skill and basic understanding of mathematical data and statistical analysis. The Field Technical Sales Representative functions will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Prospect, qualify, and reach out to new customers in your designated territory

Provide pre-sales or and post-sales support via phone, email and on-site visits

Work with Production & Engineering to coordinate commissioning/servicing jobs

Inspect and calibrate all instruments prior to commissioning/servicing jobs

Adhere to all safety checks/requirements, if any are required by factories or plants visited

Commission and service all Sensortechs instruments on customers' site

Write-up detailed trip reports on all the work that is done

Requirements

Traveling is a requirement of this position and may take a significant proportion of time

A sound technical aptitude is required to operate/troubleshoot Sensortechs instruments

Ability to quickly adapt and understand a broad array of industrial manufacturing processes

Preferences

Experience in selling and/or servicing industrial instruments

AA or Bachelors degree in a technical discipline

Prior experience in Moisture Analysis and/or Process Control, a PLUS
