About the Role: HARMAN Adapter is an easy-to-use connected car device and app that provides Remote services for compatible vehicles, Virtual Mechanic, Driving Scores, Trips, Geofencing, and more. It can also turn your car into a powerful Wi-Fi hotspot. We’re looking for a highly motivated Linux Developer to implement adapter features according to the Product roadmap. You will work with the Product Development team and fellow SW developers to deliver software/planned features. What You Will Do
Embedded product development / Linux Software development.
Review and provide feedback for SW requirements, SW Architecture
Perform Static Analysis, Code Review, SW Unit Test, SW Integration Test, SW Test
Implement use cases based on the design for Application and Middleware Development
Work closely with Requirements team and Validation team
Analyze reported defects and plan fixes/resolution
Resolve complex technical issues
Respond to technical queries/requests from team members and customers.
Understand, drive and develop system-wide impact features
What You Need
Sound knowledge and experience of Linux System and system configuration.
CPU and RAM monitoring of system & processes with configurable limits
Should have prior experience in defining Memory partitioning for IVI domains in terms of Static and Dynamic info
Strong Embedded Software background and Linux internals
Strong debugging skill in Embedded Systems, Communication with OEM/Third party
What is Nice to Have
Development Experience with OBD II-based devices/products
What Makes You Eligible
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Domestic travel required based on business needs
This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
