Preferred Qualifications?

  • Experience taking projects from initial concept through planning and implementation
  • Administrator level experience using CatDV, including creating and troubleshooting workflow automations
  • AWS administration experience, including S3/Glacier storage management, EC2 instances and traffic load balancing
  • Development and scripting experience, specifically with C#, PHP, PowerShell, VBScript or similar languages
  • Strong analytic and research skills
  • Knowledge of and experience in application administration and configuration
  • Experience with HD/4K
  • Experience with or understanding of regular expressions (e.g., RegEx)
  • Understanding of video content creation and production workflows
  • Understanding of digital asset preservation and archival best practices
  • Understanding of video transcoding, proxies and delivery
  • Bachelor?s degree in computer science or an equivalent field
  • 2 years of related application administration work experience and knowledge
  • 1 year of experience configuring servers and systems
  • 1 year of experience analyzing system failures to minimize outages and interruptions

Job Summary
The Application Engineer, Asset Manager is responsible for configuring Media Asset Management (MAM) software functions and activities for web-based and internally hosted applications. The person in this position ensures the stability, integrity and efficient operation of MAM information systems based in the cloud, as well as those hosted internally. The Application Engineer applies communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues as well as maintain relationships with internal and external business partners.

Responsibilities ?
  • Design, develop, test and implement MAM application changes
  • Implement, configure and manage web-based and internally hosted multi-user systems
  • Improve and automate processes, including data retrieval and entry
  • Maintain the integrity and functionality of applications and systems
  • Keep current on product trends and technology innovations for any assigned or related systems
  • Develop automation scripts and programs to remove manual system configuration where appropriate
  • Analyze, evaluate and propose system changes to business partners and application end users
  • Integrate externally hosted and cloud-based systems with internal applications
  • Understand the details of each managed system and educate end users on best practices for use
  • Become an expert on assigned systems
  • Debug problems and quickly resolve issue
  • Handle digital assets from ingest to application of metadata
  • Facilitate asset sharing
