Production Assistant
Gravity Vineyards and Winery is looking for a Production Assistant to join our team. We produce about 30 different styles of still and sparkling wine and ciders under two uniquely different labels and maintain approximately 35 acres of vineyard.
You will work directly with our winemaker in all parts of wine production including: vineyard, fruit processing, filtering and bottling, equipment cleaning and maintenance, as well as general grounds maintenance, and any other tasks as needed.
Previous experience is not required.

⢠High School diploma (minimum) some college courses preferred
⢠Able to perform basic mathematic calculations
⢠Attention to detail
o Able to follow detailed work orders and adhere to company SOP's
⢠Ability and willingness to follow instructions
⢠Willing to learn
⢠Common sense
⢠Reliable transportation
⢠Able to work full time with some flexibility. Generally Monday through Friday but that can vary based off weather
⢠Comfortable working in all weather conditions
⢠Physically fit:
o able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
o able to crawl inside of wine tanks for cleaning
o able to push, carry, or drag heavy hoses and other equipment around the cellar
o able to safely work from a ladder
o able to work in all Michigan weather conditions
⢠Previous tractor or equipment experience preferred but not required
⢠And of course...ethical, honest, and hard working!
Compensation: $11-14/hour depending on experience
