American Spoon has an immediate RETAIL MANAGER opening in our Saugatuck Michigan Store location. This is a year around position! Apply now! As a Manager you will be responsible for staffing, training, sales, merchandising, and customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service and work to build long-term relationships between American Spoon and our customers [working closely with our Customer Service Manager
Work as an ambassador for the American Spoon brand, actively educating, customers, staff and the community about who we are and what we do.
Merchandising to include planning & installing displays, sampling products, recipe & product demonstrations and special in-store events {Working closely with our Culinary Director]
Set, plan, and implement actions to achieve sales and service goals. Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate retail staff. (Working closely with HR Director).
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store (at all times).
Manage inventory, stocking & stock rotation, and ordering for all store merchandise. Work closely with the Vice President, Marketing Director and other Retail Store Managers to improve and support operations.
Thorough understanding and operation of our POS, preparation & submission of daily, monthly and year end reporting (Working closely with our Accounting Manager & Chief Technology Officer).
Promote American Spoon through involvement with community organizations such as Downtown Associations and Chamber of Commerce.
Other responsibilities as assigned or requested.
Will train in our Petoskey Michigan Retail Store and Home Office Operations Qualifications:
Requirements:
Minimum three years of retail experience preferably retail management
A strong interest and knowledge of locally grown fruits and vegetables.
Positive Attitude & genuine, friendly demeanor.
Demonstrated leadership & ability to both lead & be a part of the team.
Must have high standards and an unwillingness to compromise on quality.
Must have Basic Mac and /or PC skills and a proficiency with word processing POS. Must have a passion for high quality specialty food.
