Job Description

Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer will report to the Product and Engineering Manager. We have a strong need to standardize and improve external (B2B) and internal communication of our product lines. The major areas of responsibility for this position are: developing marketing sheets for each of our product lines, developing visual materials for distribution and in-person commercial engagements, assisting with internal knowledge capture efforts and visual communication, and assisting in the development of new media platforms.

Primary Responsibilities:

·For each product line: Translate product attributes and benefits into a storyboard with visual and text elements; Finalize and publish marketing sheets we call ‘Value Sheets’

·Develop visual materials for in-person commercial engagements / events (in Troy, MI)

·Assist development in new media platforms (website, YouTube, social media, …); press releases and marketing campaigns for new products; marketing and advertising of the company

·Standardize visual guidelines for knowledge capture documents; clean up existing documents

·Develop product display boards for distribution to specific customers

Other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications

·Graphic design background with software experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) or equivalent

·Rendering software experience preferred (KeyShot a plus)

·CAD software experience a plus

·3D modeling skills a plus

·Background in Industrial & Product Design a plus

·Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·Ability to identify and adjust to shifting priorities; comfortable juggling competing demands; dependable

·Strong interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written, and visual

·Curious; eager to learn and discover

·Driven and motivates others to excel

·Ability to engage and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues

·Ability to leverage indirect authority
