Job Description

You are an independently driven software engineer who works effectively with a team and is passionate about continuously improving our product and processes. Candidates will possess the following qualities:

• Experience solving technical problems with multiple programming languages and technologies including Java, Python, and JavaScript
• Ability to work in an environment where requirements and priorities are dynamic, and staff are actively engaged in product and architectural direction
• Ability to mentor more junior engineers and help advance the overall state and capabilities of the team
• Exceptional attention to detail and collaborative skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Ability to adapt and respond to innovation and change, identifying areas for process improvement and leading those efforts on occasion

Qualifications

Initial responsibilities will revolve around software including PostgreSQL, Java with Spring Framework on the server, and Typescript and React on the client side. Jenkins runs our tests and integrates all our work together.

Knowledge of the following tools or their equivalents is essential:

• Strong experience with and high proficiency in Java
• Deep familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JUNIT, XML etc.
• MySQL or Postgres experience including ODBC/JDBC
• Python - working knowledge
• Proficient with a client-side MV lib. (React preferred)
• Experience with SOA/REST
• Jenkins and CI/CD principals
• Spring MVC
• Apache Tomcat
• BS in Computer Science or related

Desirables:

• Tableau

  • Server Admin
  • Publishing
  • Workbooks and datasources
  • Experience/deep understanding of how Tableau security, permissions and user/group configuration
  • Working knowledge of BI, Tableau Vizs
  • Understanding of Tableau’s licensing model and best practices

• Proficiency in a Linux environment
• FHIR/HL7/analytics experience a major plus
• Kubernetes, Docker, AWS experience a plus
• Healthcare experience a plus
• Experience in a regulated industry a plus
