Kforce has a client in search of an Associate Designer in Warren, MI.
As the associate designer, this individual provides inventive solutions to complex technical issues and creates detail drawings & models from existing layouts.
Creates detail drawings, models, and analyses from existing layouts
Edits drawings, models, and analyses as instructed by the Engineering Work Order
Performs design assignments efficiently such that deadlines are met
Communicates status and recommendations to Supervisor, Design Leader, and members of the Product Development Team (PDT) via regular meeting attendance
Bachelor's degree of Science in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
BS - Mechanical Engineering Technology is acceptable as an alternative to the BS - Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of Propulsion & Vehicle System Architectures
Exposure to Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5M 1994 Standards)
In-depth knowledge of Siemens-PLM Software (NX, TeamCenter, and TcVis)
Relevant academic expertise in design projects related to: aluminum casting (sand or die), metal stamping, plastic injection molding, hydraulic controls, or packaging and layout construction
Experience in working with a team in which tasks are sub-divided
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Exposure to Tolerance Analysis
