Business Development Manager

Location: Upper Midwest (Eastern MN to ND / SD)

Wage: $80,000 - $100,000 / year + bonus opportunity

A local North Dakota based construction and fabrication company is seeking a Business Development Manager that will establish and foster relationship with customer and influences in the heavy mechanical / industrial industry. The best fit candidate will possess 8 “ 10 years of proven successful sales experience in the heavy industrial / construction industry and up to 80% travel.

What you get to do:

Market Opportunity Definition

Define distinct market segments by thorough understanding of types of work available, customer type, advantages/disadvantages, key partnerships needed to penetrate and overall potential business volume

Project Lead Generation, Pipeline Development and Backlog Awards

Identify potential accounts and projects through various sources to generate leads

Develop leads into company opportunities

Support project and account estimating and pricing processes to win opportunities

Marketing

Foster company brand and image thru coordination and participation at tradeshows and conferences

Lead the marketing strategy and implementation for targeted industry, geography and clients.

CRM

Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to maintain all communication records with customers and influencers.

Track leads and opportunities thru the sales process.

Relationship Development

Identify decision makers and influencers to build relationships with, advance companys position thru their contractor approval process and placed on their approved bidders/contractors list.

Leverage relationships early in project process to be helpful and seen as a solutions provider in the engineering and design phase.

Maintain relationships throughout project life cycles

What we need from you:

Minimum 10 years in sales and business development for industrial fabrication and construction markets

Familiar with Microsoft Office Products, greater consideration will be provided if knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
