Zemp Transport is a family owned and operated trucking company hauling various products across the United States. We are currently looking for highly motivated company drivers to join our team hauling from Park Rapids to Arlington, MN daily, home each night.

Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Input data into our iPad software for each stage of the loading and unloading process
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Previous end dump experience preferred but not required
Minimum Hiring Guidelines:
- 22 years of age or older
- 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 5 years
- All Drivers must have a current Class A CDL
- Applicant must provide a full and complete employment background for the previous 5 years.
- Applicant must successfully pass a road test including pre-trip inspection and backing.
- Applicant must have knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- Applicant must have the flexibility to work nights and weekends; we are a 24/7, 365 day a year operation.
- Must possess a valid DOT medical certificate issued by a certified medical examiner.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
