Requirements:
⢠Previous experience in the installation of distribution natural gas systems to include the fusing of PE pipe
⢠Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late as needed
⢠Ability to work in changing weather conditions
⢠Willing to travel overnights during the construction season
⢠Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and maneuver in small areas
⢠Federal Med/Health Card
⢠Strong communication skills
*Preferred Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, but not required
Description:
⢠Assemble and join polyethylene pipe and pipe fittings as necessary to complete the installation
⢠Join piping by fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical joints
⢠Inspect and test pipe systems for leaks
⢠Maintain documentation per customersâ requirements
⢠Maintain open communication with crew members
⢠Follow safe utility practices and written procedures
⢠Check and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe working order
⢠Operate equipment and tools of various sizes and weights to prepare worksite, excavations, and move materials
⢠Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures and work site or traffic laws
⢠Perform pre and post trip inspections daily
⢠Use hand tools to dig around existing utilities to prevent damages
⢠Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Skills, Experience:
⢠Previous fusion certification
⢠Desire to learn and commitment to working safely
⢠Maintain a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
