Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for Maintenance Mechanic II. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a dedication to quality.
Hours vary depending on the shift- usually 55+hours/week.
Candidates with any of the following experience are encouraged to apply today!
Perform tig, stick, mig welding.
Knowledge of and ability to perform basic welding (e.g. primary tig; some mig and stick). Ability to identify good and bad welds
Perform intermediate plumbing (e.g. install and maintain piping).
Assemble, install or repair plumbing (e.g. threading pipe), equipment or machinery to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.
Identify and locate parts/part numbers form machinery or equipment manuals or parts catalogs (e.g. Cryovac, overhead chains, rail switches, conveyors, saws, etc.)
Perform routine preventive maintenance (e.g. grease bearings, lubricate, check fluid levels, replace filters, etc.) to ensure that machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
Perform basic forklift maintenance.
Perform basic hydraulics.
Other responsibilities could include:
Complete necessary paperwork (PM sheets, work orders, etc.).
Assist in performing maintenance on scale equipment (e.g. portable, floor, and matrix hot/cold) in applicable areas.
Notify lead or supervisor of any malfunctions or repairs needed.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older.
Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures cold, wet or damp with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
6 months maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools and the ability to read and work from drawings and blueprints.
Safety training.
Lock out tag out training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility.
Prior production experience.
Work history in the last 12 months.
