  • Need 10 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworker to work in Claremont, MN. From: 03/01/2024 to 12/31/2024 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 06/12/2024 JOB DUTIES: Employees will need to assist with corn, soybeans, and vegetable production. Employees will operate farm equipment including tractors, tractor drawn implements, forklift, skid loader, fertilizing application equipment. Employees will complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment, run power washing equipment safely to clean farm equipment, adhere to safety requirements when operating equipment and must be able to use mirrors to back up large equipment. Employees will complete general farm duties as assigned including picking rocks in the fields. Employees will need to assist with all aspects of the farming operation starting in the spring with planting, fertilizing the crops during the summer and harvesting and hauling the crop in the fall. On farm duties to be performed include unloading and installation of various types of hog equipment such as ventilation and gating systems, insulating and sealing components of livestock barns and ventilation systems, pouring cement for farm buildings and other farm duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience; valid regular (Class D) driver\'s license; able to lift 50 lbs., able to perform work requiring extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, frequent stooping, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures; no minimum education requirement. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
