Ecumen Lakeshore consists of 140 independent living and assisted living rental apartment homes as well as 60 short stay rehab beds, 20 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care services and is located in Duluth, Minnesota. Responsibilities Beauticians provide a wide range of services that include the care of hair, skin and nails. A beautician s primary focus is on improving the client s outward appearance and helping them feel better about themselves. All this is done while maintaining all professional requirements, licenses and/or certifications required for this role and while following all safety and health guidelines. Essential job responsibilities include: Communicates with clients in order to provide the requested services. Sets appointments with clients and takes payment from clients. Discusses hair, skin and nail care methods and desired results with clients Cuts, colors, sets, styles clients hair Keeps work area clean and sanitized Keeps appropriate records Provides effective solutions for common issues with hair, skin and nails. Qualifications Beautician Minimum Required Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Current certificate confirming the completion of a cosmetology program Licensure/Certification: Must be licensed to practice Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written Current valid driver s license and proof of vehicle insurance (if applicable) Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations Preferred Qualifications: Senior Care Experience Hands on training necessary as part of a certificate program as well as on-the-job training Equal Opportunity Employer Ecumen is an equal opportunity employer.
