Job Description: Sawmaker's Apprentice for one of the most reputable traditional handsaw companies servicing the hand tool woodworking market today. Duties include order picking/packing, saw toothing/setting, assembly, and sharpening & truing. Will train on-the-job. Two-year glide-path to fully-qualified Sawmaker available with increased pay and benefits.
Qualifications: All sawmaking skills will be trained on-site. Craft woodworking and/or metalworking experience a plus. Must have strong work ethic, sense of urgency, punctuality, and dependability. This kind of work requires little direct supervision once trained, so being a self-starter with deep character and a strong sense of initiative is paramount.
Additional Information: 90-day probationary period starts at $12 and graduates to $13+ per hour upon completing initial 90-day block of training and practical application. Annual pay increases based on job performance, with flexible hours, health insurance premium offset, paid time off (PTO) for major holidays, and additional PTO graduating over time.
