Client Care is a platform integrated into EMR's with the mission of assisting physicians in reducing low value/inefficient care with coordinated interventions grounded in evidence based medicine.
Please describe the team the candidate will be working with - how many members and what is the break-down of the teams skill sets (ex: 1 PM, 4 Developers, etc.)?
A scrum team consisting of 3 developers, 2 QA, and 1 technical product owner/scrummaster.
TOP REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of Java development experience
• 5+ years of experience with spring framework - Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, etc.
• 10+ years of experience with Test-Driven Development with tools like JUnit, Spock, Mocha, or Jasmine
What experience will set candidates apart from one another? Experience developing integrations into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
LOCATION: Open to 100% remote.
Cannot provide sponsorship upon conversion.
What are the work hours? (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc)
9 - 5 ct. Monday through Friday. Will occasionally require additional support outside of normal business hours for items such as production releases.

As the Senior Software Engineer (Java), you will play an integral role in a scrum team developing capabilities designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care. You will work closely with the business to define and develop solutions to assist in developing optimal transition of care strategies, using best-of-breed technologies to create scalable, maintainable, high performance applications. This role will be an ideal fit if youre experienced in developing cloud-based applications utilizing Java, database, and other current technologies in an Agile development environment (with any front-end UI experience a plus).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Create and executes against a plan to develop, launch, and maintain off the shelf and proprietary automation tools/frameworks.
• Oversees the technologies, tools and techniques used by the team
• Work with the scrum team to get projects developed and implemented
• Work with internal and external developers to create code standards and best practices and ensure they are adhered to
• Partner with other competency leads / developers and support project planning, technical design, development and solution deployment functions
• Identify opportunities in business processes, system capabilities and delivery methodologies for continuous improvement as applicable
• Provide ongoing expertise to operational support groups (e.g., Systems Support) in order to address identified application problems/issues, as requested, and help to provide root cause analysis
• Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
• Identify/quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems
• Collaborate with team of varied skills to solve problems
• Mentor junior resources to enable team cross-training
• Support, design and improve on monitoring, alerting and tooling/framework efforts
• Ability and willingness to augment current expertise with new open source or targeted vendor technologies
• Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written forms, and be able to present and demonstrate work to technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of overall work experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture serving as a lead or mentor to others
• 10+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Development
• 10+ years of experience with Test-Driven Development with tools like JUnit, Spock, Mocha, or Jasmine
• 5+ years of Java development experience
• 5+ years of experience with spring framework - Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, etc.
• 3+ years of experience developing REST based APIs
• 3+ years of experience with single page web app development with framework like AngularJS or React
• If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar approved symptom screener. Preferred qualifications
• Full-stack development experience
• Azure Cloud Platform Certification
• Understanding of infrastructure as code, Specifically Terraform and Azure Resource Manager.
• Previous experience with Agile/SCRUM methodology/best practices
• Interest or knowledge in using Kubernetes for scaling data and services infrastructure
• Healthcare industry experience
• Experience with build tools like Maven/Gulp/Webpack
• Experience with Splunk
• Jenkins and Jobs DSL
• Experience with load testing frameworks like JMeter or Gatling
• Experience with Git
• Experience with Docker container environments like OpenShift or Kubernetes
