Looking for part time help on 70-cow diversified dairy farm located at the north end of Le Sueur County.
Duties include feeding, watering, and bedding animals (calves, steers, pigs), cleaning stalls and milking parlor, and other miscellaneous farm chores. There may be an opportunity to milk cows, too. Some of the tasks are repetitive, but there is also variety in the job. Must be willing to work outside in all kinds of weather, and able lift and carry 50 pounds, climb and descend ladders, walk on uneven ground, drive an ATV. Ability to drive a stick shift is a plus. If you are unwilling to get dirty or you are allergic to hay or straw, this would not be a good job for you.
Work schedule is mornings 5 days a week (M-F or Tu - Sat). Start time is somewhat negotiable. There may be options to work additional hours during busy times during the season if you choose.
