Volt Technical Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Tech with a well known industry leader in their Saint Paul location. You will be doing:
Product development testing of tapes (PSAs) and liquid structural adhesives.
Measuring material properties of standard products and new experimental materials for development and application engineering teams.
Testing uses standard test methodology through ASTM or internal tests.
Position Duties:
Tape testing: including peel, shear, tensile, rheology, liner release, etc. Sample preparation: substrate cleaning, die cutting, lamination, etc. Would include training on relevant test methods and use of instrumentation.
Adhesive testing: including dynamic shear, impact, viscosity, modulus, etc. Sample preparation: substrate cleaning, substrate modification, basic dispensing, casting, etc. Would include training on relevant test methods and use of instrumentation
Reporting of data accurately with desired details (no data analysis required)
Basic Qualifications: • High school diploma-Degree Preferred • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft office software
