Financial Planning Specialist (Paraplanner)

Position Summary:
The Financial Planning Specialist (Paraplanner) will work in conjunction with multiple Lead Advisors to aid in higher level financial planning functions. The candidate will be servicing the clients of Lead Advisors at the firm in a mostly non-facing operational/support role.
Essential Functions:
Assist lead planners in client meeting prep and follow up
Pre and post task management in Salesforce
Document management in Worldox
Scanning/organizing/filing
Use of and updated Mind Maps/Agendas
Enter data and complete necessary tasks within Salesforce and all other TPC websites
First Step Cash Management fluency
Money Guide Pro fluency
Orion/TCA/Schwab fluency
Assist planners in coordinating calendars and any necessary scheduling
Cross training from Operations
Willing to help as needed on all custodial paperwork needed for client's accounts
Cross training from Operations (Coordination, Back Up, Liaison)
Be willing to assist and aid where needed on other operational duties
Participate in other company needs and workgroups
Assist with outside investment analysis and facilitation
FeeX/Morningstar Reports
Minimum Qualifications:
Has Registered Paraplanner designation or willing to start working on the designation for this position. Could have CFP or working on, but not want to be a lead planner/relationship manager
Knowledge Required:
Interoffice and external to client communication/social skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong computer skills, CRM knowledge and data entry
Knowledge of office procedures and policies
Other Talents/Personal Attributes:
Demonstrates a clear understanding and adoption of company's culture
Serves on TPC work groups to grow culture and business needs
Willingness to collaborate and create this new position/department
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Physical Demands: Sufficient mobility in an office setting, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard and remote technology (ie Zoom and Slack)
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Work environment: Standard office setting; exposure to computer screens. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical/Virtual Office: Be able to best assist clients and planners in a physical office, but also be willing and able to support one or two more offices with a few more advisors in a virtual setting.
Travel: Occasionally for training and cross-collaboration and for yearly company meetings.
Equipment & Materials:
Desktop computer with a Windows-based environment. Software includes Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce and other specialized software.
