The division supports trading systems for equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, principal investments, risk services lines of businesses. The database team is part of a central Enterprise Database Management team with focused support around this regulated line of business. The administrator as such, will have interaction with traders, application and trader support platforms, development, infrastructure and disaster recovery teams.This Database Analyst will be responsible for the following:Leads the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-classdatabases. Consults with and advises senior management and multiple clients on high impact data or databasemanagement issues, influencing strategic direction. Handles and leads various large-scale or highly complexdata/database management activities including one or more of the following: designing highly complex logical and/or physical databases; leading highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts; developing management policies, procedures and standards; and business requirements identification, analysis and development. Provides mentoring, guidance and general oversight to less experienced staff in a variety of database design, administration and/or modeling activities. Inherent knowledge of low-latency systems used for trading activities. As such, has expertise in troubleshooting and performance tuning code within the database like stored procedures, views, triggers, partitioned objects, table relationships and hierarchies. Leads complex projects where a discussed business need is converted into a solution with longevity and scalability.Required Qualifications:

7+ years of database design and administration experience

A BS/BA degree or higher

Desired Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

PL/SQL experience

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation

Ability to develop and manage business relationships

Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
