AWS is seeking a Specialized Sales Representatives in the Northeast to help us maintain our leadership position as the preferred cloud for VMware workloads. Our web services provide IT infrastructure in-the-cloud that is used by hundreds of thousands of developers and businesses around the world. These customers range from start-ups to leading web companies to Global 500 companies in industries such as financial services, pharmaceuticals, and high technology. VMware and AWS announced a strategic partnership that brings the two leaders in Enterprise IT together to deliver a vSphere-based cloud service running on AWS. This service will make it easier for customers to run any application, using a set of familiar software and tools, in a consistent hybrid cloud environment. AWS is seeking an experienced Sales Specialist for our VMware Cloud on AWS team. The Sales Specialist will develop and manage a pipeline of high value opportunities by executing customer focused campaigns to identify compelling events and use cases that will help our customers adopt hybrid cloud and take advantage of cloud economics and native cloud services. The VMware Cloud on AWS Specialized Sales team engages VMware customers through 3 routes to market (RTM): the AWS field, consulting partners, and VMware. As the VMware Cloud on AWS Specialized Sales Representative for the Northeast within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to deliver on our strategy to build mind share and adoption of AWS solutions for VMware across AWS's most strategic North American customers. You will be responsible for the VMware Cloud on AWS sales motion for the Northeast, which includes; identifying VMware customers .and. opportunities, qualifying .and. building pipeline, driving VMware Cloud on AWS discussions with customers, and responsibility for the overall sales cycle. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and managing the day-to-day interactions with these stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and overall end customer adoption across the AWS Enterprise Market Segment. The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them engage at the CXO level, deep experience with VMware, knowledge of VMware specific infrastructure solutions that will help drive the VMware Cloud on AWS ecosystem, as well as a sales background that enables them to easily interact with enterprise customers, partners, and the AWS field teams. The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. Basic Qualifications 7 - 10+ years of direct/matrix sales, business development, and program management experience Experience selling VMware, Technology, and Infrastructure Prior experience growing VMware or VMware related businesses Experience working with VMware partners and the VMware ecosystem Track record of building rapport with senior customer executives (e.g. CEO, CIO, CTO), building close relationships, and closing large revenue accounts 50% travel required Amazon is committed to a divers
