Description The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is currently seeking a motivated and talented candidate for a Patient Registration Representative role with one of our well-respected clients in the Minneapolis area. We are looking for candidates who can be heavily relied upon, have a knack for providing excellent service, and are eager to start or further develop your career in the healthcare industry!Duties for this Patient Registration Representative for this company will be responsible for but not limited to:Interviewing incoming patients to gather demographics, insurance, and emergency information

Ensuring completion of vital paperwork, proper sign-in and security procedures prior to admission into the hospital system

Discussing hospital policies with patients

Preparing and distributing patient identification bands

Arranging for transportation to designated hospital rooms

Providing all around excellent customer service to help sustain a warm environment

Requirements

RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED

Experience with excellent customer service

Ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously

MS Office experience and excellent typing skills

Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills and have high attention to detail

Experience working in a healthcare environment (preferred)

Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)

Healthcare access certification (preferred)

Working under close supervision, provides clerical support to Revenue Cycle Management. Responsible for reviewing and processing insurance claims according to payor terms and internal guidelines. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs a variety of routine tasks related to general revenue cycle operations Assists with information gathering and retrieval using in-person, telephone, and computer based methods Verifies information for accuracy including patient demographic, insurance benefits, payor coverages and related information etc. May perform tasks via a work queue Performs tasks in accordance with established work standards for department May update and maintain patient/provider/payor information both manually and electronically May conduct patient/visitor transactions such as cashiering, customer service, front desk, etc. Acts on knowledge of HCMC practices, procedures, policies and job tasks to complete most assignments under direct supervision Other duties as assigned, after trained QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma 1 year clerical experience in health care or medical insurance environment, preferably in a revenue cycle operations: billing/claims, patient accounting, collections, admissions, registration, etc. -OR- An approved equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of patient billing claims process Proficient with Microsoft Office Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Keyboarding or typing skills Previous experience using computer systems You\'ve made the right choice in considering Hennepin Healthcare for your employment. SUMMARY We are currently seeking a Team Coordinator to join our Admitting and Registration team. This full-time role will primarily work on-site (Evenings/Nights 7:30 PM - 4:00 AM with rotating weekends). The department is looking for a subject matter expert; who has a vast knowledge of registration, insurance, and Epic experience. This role will be a support to the leadership team; focusing on training of new hires, continuing education with staff, auditing to ensure work is in alignment with standard operating procedures, workflow improvement, and implementation, along with serving as a backup to the management team. Which includes, leading huddles, conflict resolution, providing directions to employees, and work rotating on-call weekends.
