RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 10% - Participate in the strategy and definition phase of projects, providing input for concepts, research plans, and approach for the user experience.
  • 60% - Manage the design of user interfaces during the implementation phase of the project, including the iterative development of wireframes, mock-ups and other project artifacts to illustrate the intended user experience. Define and translate business and user requirements into defined UX/UI documentation and specifications, including stories and acceptance criteria for Agile projects. Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure build matches intended designs.
  • 10% - Present design ideas, including rationale based on customer research and best practices, and facilitate mapping and other exercises with the product development team and other key stakeholders.
  • 10% - Participate in peer design reviews/critique, giving and receiving constructive feedback. Ensure knowledge sharing and cross-pollination of team members to effectively support the business and execute on team/function deliverables.
  • 10% - Plan and participate in UX research, including competitive research reviews, secondary research reviews, heuristic reviews, interviews, surveys, first click studies, card sorts and usability testing. Author and present resulting findings and recommendation reports. "

REQUIRED
  • Demonstrated experience with design thinking and human-centered design
  • Fluency in Sketch, familiar with Sketch libraries
  • Familiarity with InVision
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, collaboration, with the ability to work independently and proactively flag issues and concerns
  • Time management and organization, ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables at once and adapt to evolving priorities, as needed
  • Familiarity with component-based/atomic design systems"
  • Position to focus on specifying experience designs for highly functional, authenticated digital products for enterprise users.

  • In-house experience collaborating with business and engineering partners from concept to completion

  • Experience with agile and waterfall application development methodology
