We are a school catering company located in South Saint Paul. We are currently looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead and support our kitchen staff and internal process. An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of management experience and is a Certified Kitchen Manager with the MN Department of Health (ServSafe Certification). Kitchen Manager - South Saint Paul

Rate: Up to $60,000 (Depends on Qualifications)

Hours: Roughly 6:30am-3:00pm

Being able to lift 50lbs

Benefits 1st of the month after 60 days (Medical, Dental, 401k Matching)

Paid Weekly

All hiring is contingent on passing a background check

Works closely with Director of Operations (DOO) each morning to ensure that the kitchen department and meal delivery departments is staffed daily.

Assists with food preparation following planned menus accurately and on schedule, determine quantities to be served.

Conducts test recipes.

Maintains an accurate and organized recipe file.

Maintains food temperatures log, food quality and appearance of prepared food.

Maintains proper function of kitchen equipment.

Orders food in a timely manner thru Procurement Manager.

Reviews menus, analyzes recipes, and production tags and provides them to line prep and specialty meal staff.

Assigns responsibility of production tags to each line prep cook.

Receives food supplies (check for correctness, quality and quantity) and assure they are stored properly.

Facilitates kitchen meetings and attends management meetings.

Maintains a clean work area within company and state standards.

Processes inventory, checks stock and ensures adequate stock levels.

Handles ordering, purchasing, verifying costs and developing new relates guidelines.

Sets goals to improve quality, productivity, motivations, customer satisfaction and morale.

Manages and coordinates staff (discipline, reviews, etc.).

Completes other responsibilities as assigned.
