RN/LPN needed for unique private duty case in downtown Minneapolis. I'm an active 45-yr-old vent-dependent man who needs coverage for every other Saturday evening shift (3p-11p).
This position is ideal for someone seeking casual hours. If you have the ability to occasionally pick up other shifts, that would be great.
Duties include:
g-tube feedings
trach suctioning
occasionally accompanying me to movies, concerts, etc. (including driving my van)
personal cares (assistance with urinal/commode, dressing changes, etc.)
lifting to/from bed/wheelchair/commode (I weigh about 95 lbs.)
general monitoring and intervention
Applicants must have strong interpersonal skills, strong assessment skills, confidence, and a willingness to take direction from me. Since we will be working together closely, an engaging personality is a plus. Vent experience helpful but not required. Nonsmokers preferred. Must have valid MN nursing license. I'm very familiar with my cares and equipment and have trained many nurses. Rate: $41.76/hr for RNs; $31.36 for LPNs. No benefits.
