Description:
Supports assigned machine operator in Press Department by achieving productivity and quality requirements.
Produce bundles and process through bindery required procedures.
Works with crew with the crew effectively through teamwork, support and encouragement.
Follows all production, safety and quality goals
Requirements:
Read and Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Communicate effectively with operator and other co-workers, including the ability to understand oral instruction from the operator.
Tolerate long periods of standing gasping, and repetitive motion
Lift up to 50lbs
Exhibit flexibility in job assignments
Observe department and company safety regulations with special emphasis on using appropriate Person Protective Equipment, and using lifts where available.
High School Education or GED required.
Screening Process included national background screen and drug screen.
Other tasks include, but are not limited to: feeding and catching off conveyors or conveyor systems, repairing books, stacking books ,bending covers, packing boxes, inspecting books, filling 3-ring binders, indexing , layouts, labeling, collating, inserting, pocket slitting, stock corrections, bundling, opening rolls, stacking bundles, stacking end boards, as well as assisting the operators as requested.
