Apex has an opportunity for a Java Microservices Developer that can sit REMOTE. Here are the details:

Position: Java Microservices Developer
Location: Remote
Rate: Negotiable based on experience
Duration: 6 Month Contract

Position Description:

PROJECT: Claims Payment and presentment capability - Payment Engine application. Production batch support which utilizes DataStage, Java services, Kafka streams, Oracle 12c, MySql, Tivoli scheduler, modernization development work (data stage to services)

• Modernizing ETL jobs - moving from DataStage to services. Design and development for cloud-hosted Java microservices, Kafka streams
• Batch support; have a team in both shores India and US.
• Incident tickets, Problem tickets management
• Product lifecycle maintenance
• War room support

Required Skills:

Ideal Background: Good technical skills in Java microservices and analytical skills, healthcare background preferred but not must have. Cloud experience is required.

• 6+ years of experience with java micro-services, Spring Boot, Sping Batch
• 5+ years of Experience hosting micro services on cloud environment
  • specifically, experience in OpenShift
  • experience with Docker container management.
• 1+ Years of experience with Kafka Producer, Kafka Consumer and Kafka Streams
• 5+ Years of experience with database such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.
• 3+ Years of CI/CD experience, including building and deploying and maintaining cloud micro services

• Jenkins
• Docker
• XL Deploy
• General CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Good understanding of Tivoli job scheduler

Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role):

• Decent knowledge on ETL tools like Datastage
• Healthcare knowledge
