Very Busy Flower Shop has immediate opening for a relief driver for 3-4 days per week. Great position for recent retiree's or those looking to have a flex schedule.
Position:
Responsible for delivery of floral products in our vans and in an efficient, timely and courteous manner. Offering proper care and protection of product/material. This position is the relief driver for our 3 other drivers. Part time to start but will turn into full time for the right person. This is a permanent position.
Essential Duties:
Delivers floral products to customers in South Mpls, SE Minneapolis and Downtown.
Uses good sense as to where a delivery is left if recipient not available.
Delivers and/or picks up's requested by the General Manager.
Maintains good customer relations. Keeps a neat personal appearance.
Always has a courteous and friendly manner. Conduct themselves as the only representative of the company many customers will see.
Monitors vehicle maintenance and vehicle problems and communicates any problems to the General Manager. Keeps trucks washed and clean inside and out. Keeps trucks gassed.
Marginal Duties:
Prepares packages for delivery.
Maintains van and informs management of maintenance needs.
Sweeps, cleans and organizes garage and delivery area.
Trash removal.
Shovels snow and keeps front entrance clean.
Helps other departments when time allows.
General Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to work Saturday- Other days of the week are flexible depending on need and your flexibly.
Knowledge of our delivery area and/or is accustom to use of Google Maps
Maintain a neat personal appearance and a friendly manner.
Position requires lifting and carrying products and other materials.
Requires exposure to all types of weather conditions.
Driver must be available for additional hours of driving during the holiday seasons. Holidays include December 15-24th - Feb 10-15th -10 days prior to Mothers Day and various times throughout the year.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $15.00 /hour
