Requirements:
Previous experience in the installation of distribution natural gas systems to include welding, fabricating, and tapping of distribution mains and services
Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late as needed
Ability to work in changing weather conditions
Willing to travel overnights during the construction season
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and maneuver in small areas
Federal Med/Health Card
Strong communication skills
Preferred Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, but not required
Welder:
Description:
Welding and fabrication of steel distribution steel mains and services
Tapping and stopping of steel distribution mains and services
Inspect and test pipe systems for leaks
Maintain documentation per customers’ requirements
Maintain open communication with crew members
Follow safe utility practices and written procedures
Check and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe working order
Operate equipment and tools of various sizes and weights to prepare worksite, excavations, and move materials
Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures and work site or traffic laws
Perform pre and post trip inspections daily
Use hand tools to dig around existing utilities to prevent damages
Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Skills, Experience:
Previous distribution welding experience (must pass WUA Weld Test and maintain certification)
Knowledge of TD Williamson and Mueller Tapping and Stopping equipment
Desire to learn and commitment to working safely
Maintain a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
Fuser:
Description:
Previous experience in the installation of distribution natural gas systems to include the fusing of PE pipe
Assemble and join polyethylene pipe and pipe fittings as necessary to complete the installation
Join piping by fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical joints
Inspect and test pipe systems for leaks
Maintain documentation per customers’ requirements
Maintain open communication with crew members
Follow safe utility practices and written procedures
Check and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe working order
Operate equipment and tools of various sizes and weights to prepare worksite, excavations, and move materials
Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures and work site or traffic laws
