M.B.E., Inc. is a contract trucking company in the construction industry. Our equipment includes truck tractors, side dump trailers, loaders, dozers, excavators and other heavy equipment.
We are currently looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic. The candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our tractors, side dump trailers and various pieces of heavy construction equipment. This person will also oversee and advise other mechanics on diagnostics and repair challenges. This is a full time evening position.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Diagnose and repair trucks and equipment in both the shop and possibly in the field
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of trucks and trailers
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, techniques used in Truck/Tractor repair and maintenance
Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs
Knowledge of electrical systems including computerized induction/ignition systems
Work directly with Shop Manager to maintain inventory and set equipment maintenance schedules
All other duties as assigned.
Education Required
CDL License would be a plus
Must be able to lift 60 plus pounds
Must have own tools
Follow written and verbal instructions
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
