Brainerd Truck and Trailer is a rapidly growing full-service facility for heavy duty trucks, trailers and equipment. Trucks are class 3-8 with multiple axles and various combinations. We provide a full range of services from oil changes to overhauls. Located in the heart of the Brainerd recreational area.
JOB DESCRIPTION of DIESEL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform inspections and routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking fluids, and lubricating equipment
Evaluate future maintenance requirements of trucks and equipment as they are being serviced
Assist other technicians with assigned projects
Work with Service Writer and Senior Technicians in repair recommendations
Use hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair and test
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Use proper equipment to stabilize equipment for completing repairs safely
Complete repairs in all weather conditions, inside or outside of shop
Basic computer skills related to technical research of products and parts
Fill out and submit all required documents in an accurate and timely manner such as time sheets, inspection forms, etc.
Maintain good communication and a positive work environment
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Combination of 3 years education and/or experience
Current DOT certification or willing to obtain
Current CDL or willing to obtain
Must have your own tools
Willing to work overtime as seasonality requirements change
Must be able to lift/carry 75 pounds
