Communicates with other engineering functions including design, process, production, quality, and reliability.
Analyzes production methods to ensure time and cost goals are reached.
Creates design specifications for a variety of components and systems. Analyzes design problems using engineering and mathematical principles.
Makes design changes and prepares preliminary sketches for guidance of layout drafters.
Consults with other engineers concerning design specifications, manufacturing processes, legal, safety, and government requirements.
QualificationsRequirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
1+ year related experience.
Additional Qualifications
Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Experience with analytical and CAD software.
Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
