Responsibilities
1. Coordinates and supervises all construction activities including required reporting and daily logs.
2. Thoroughly understands blueprints, project specs, fixture placement, and construction codes per local and state ordinances, the International Building Code of 2018, including IRC 2018. Pulls and administers permits.
3. Creates, reviews, and updates construction schedule, scope of work, and contracts issued. Completes construction projects as scheduled per contract while maintaining quality controls.
4. Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary to maintain production schedule.
5. Prepares, updates, schedules, and supervises completion of project punch lists including project closeout and warranty work.
6. Promotes and ensures job site safety and safe work practices; rectifies job site hazards immediately.
7. Ensures that no work, which is not covered in a contract, is completed without an executed change order.
8. Works closely, professionally, and effectively with clients, project manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees.
Qualifications
5+ years residential construction supervision.
Practical experience and/or working knowledge of sitework, foundation, flatwork, framing, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall, trim, paint, flooring and landscape/irrigation. Recognizes incorrect work and preempts defects.
Utilizes strong written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills.
Proficient use of a computer/ tablet/ phone using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and construction management software.
