Now accepting applications for EXPERIENCED Able Seaman (AB-Special , AB -Limited, AB- Unlimited AB-Deck, AB-Engine)
Must have a minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience on a workboat, own transportation and able to pass a USCG Drug Test and Physical upon hiring
Duties:
Responsible for routine deck operations aboard the vessel, including but not limited to:
-Performs necessary routine maintenance, repairs, and handles ships business under the direction of the Officer of the Watch.
-Prepares for trip and load cargo and ships shores.
-Stands watch while vessel is underway as required in order to reach destination safely and expeditiously.
-Maintains the cleanliness of the vessel.
AB's are also responsible for transferring rigging, laying rigging, handling lines, moving and operating portable pumps, routine housekeeping duties, general maintenance, and assisting in the navigation of the boat.
These duties will be performed during all types of weather, night and day, and while the vessel is underway.
Minimum Licenses/Certification Requirements:
-Merchant Mariners Credentials (MMC) USCG rating of AB (OSV)
-Basic Safety Training (STCW)
-Rating Performing Part of a Navigation Watch endorsed on STCW
-Valid 719k Med Cert (STCW date)
-Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC minimum six (6) months prior to renewal).
-Valid Passport is preferred
-Valid Driver's License is preferred but State Issued ID is OK
- Safegulf
-Rigging, HUET/Water Survival, 1st Aid/CPR/BBP is preferred but not a requirement
