GCR, Inc. is seeking a HVAC Technician to support their project located in Gulfport, MS.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of HVAC, chiller, boiler, DDC controls and refrigeration systems.

Job Duties:

Diagnose (troubleshoot) malfunctioning HVAC, refrigeration, chiller & boiler systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Inspect HVAC, refrigeration. chiller & boiler systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections and associated servicing on HVAC, refrigeration, chiller & boiler systems.

Perform all duties in compliance with National Electric Code, OSHA, EM 385 to include arc flash, lock out / tag out and Federal, State, Local instructions and laws.

Perform all service order work in a timely manner and ensure facilities, structures, and installed equipment and systems are restored to a safe, normal working condition and function properly.

Complete all work per approved and accepted industry and equipment manufacturers' standards and comply with building and safety codes, applicable activity, local, state, and federal regulations, and other technical requirements. Best commercial practices shall be applied in the performance of work.

Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times, not allowing debris to spread unnecessarily into adjacent areas or accumulate in the work area. Clean and remove all such debris, excess material, and parts at the end of the work day or completion of the task. Ensure any stains and other unsightly marks shall be removed upon completion of work.

Accurately complete all work orders using electronic and/or hard copy means of documentation, ensuring they contain required information for documentation of response, parts, materials and labor hours.

Review inventory for accuracy/deficiencies; resolve discrepancies by using company standards.

Maintain effective communication with staff, Project Management/Supervision/Employees and customers.

Observe additional maintenance needs requiring attention and report those to the appropriate supervisory personnel.

Maintain Company confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

Safety Requirements:

Actively participate in the GCR Occupational Safety & Health Program.

Perform all assigned work in a safe and reasonable manner that avoids preventable injury and preventable property/equipment damage to you, co-workers, Customers, the Company, and/or the public.

Through personal example, exemplify a personal commitment to and support of the Company/Project Safety Culture.

Immediately report all occupational injuries, unsafe conditions, and/or property damage.

Use and enforce the wearing of personal protective equipment.

Employee will not lift over 50 lbs without assistance of a mechanical device or help from another employee.

Always wear a seatbelt while operating/riding in a company vehicle, or a privately owned vehicle while performing work activities or acting as an agent of the Company.

Not be unfit for work due to the presence, ingestion, consumption or inhalation of illegal drugs, prescribed medications, over-the-counter drugs and/or alcohol.

Mandatory:

HS Diploma or equivalent.

5 years' experience in the HVAC industry with the demonstrated ability to successfully perform the essential requirements of this position.

Possess a valid State driver's license and have reliable transportation.

Be a citizen of the United States.

Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.

Be able to speak, read and comprehend the English language.

Not be color-blind.

Successfully pass and maintain a National Agency /Security Background Check.

Available to work a non-traditional work week, to include evenings, weekends and/or Holidays as work demands dictate and/or directed by the Project Manager.
