Grove Transit, a non-emergency transportation company, has immediate openings for 3 full time drivers to provide non-emergency transportation services in Harrison, Jackson and Hancock Counties. Drivers may perform trips throughout South Mississippi and the Mobile & New Orleans areas, but will operate primarily in the Gulf Coast Counties areas.

Shifts will vary, but we have drivers working Mondays through Saturdays, usually starting before 6 am.

Our drivers are required to maintain a professional appearance, possess good written and verbal communication skills and must provide conscientious care of our passengers and company vehicles. Most trips are medical related and require a high degree of reliability on the part of our drivers. Successful candidates are sensitive to the needs of transporting special needs passengers, injured workers and the elderly. Candidates must be physically capable of pushing an individual in a wheelchair up an ADA approved wheelchair ramp.

Applicants must be at least 23 years of age and are required to have clean criminal background checks, pass a 10-panel drug screen and have a good driving record. Applicants must have a valid MS (or neighboring state) drivers license. A commercial driver's license is a plus but not required.

You may not have:

• Any DUI or felony convictions,

• Convictions for crimes involving sexual misconduct, abuse or neglect, violence or drugs,

• Suspensions of your license,

• Failures to appear, or

• More than one accident or moving violation in the past three years.

You must be able to successfully navigate driving directions, and have a familiarity with the highways, cities and traffic flow of the South Mississippi and surrounding areas.

We will be conducting interviews from 11:00 - 1:00 on Monday, June 24th in our offices in Gulfport @ 1912 21st Ave, Gulfport (enter from the alley around back). Interviewees should arrive with a valid driver's license and 1 additional form of identification. If possible, candidates should also bring a current copy of their motor vehicle record. If you don't have one, we can order one for you.

Applicants interested in working out of Hattiesburg, Laurel, Waynesboro, Meridian or Picayune can also submit an application.

We pay for your training, background checks and drug screening.

We look forward to having you on our team.
