Applicants must:

- Be at least 21.

- Present certification of at least 48 college hours and a 2.875 GPA.

- Present a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.

- Pass motor vehicle review with a favorable driving record and no DUIs.

- Meet pre and post-employment requirements including comprehensive background checks and drug screenings.

- Obtain MS Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) licenses by passing state (Mississippi) and federal (FBI) background checks.

Although prior marketing experience is not imperative, viable candidates must be skilled at quickly learning and efficiently leveraging social media platforms to test and select strategies that produce sales. Position holders will learn about wines and leverage descriptions, pictures, and videos to effectively promote the wines and our Tasting Team Program as seen here https://www.katswine.com/tasting-team/. Planned marketing resources include allowances for periodic seminars and professional consultations. While formal experience with wine is not required, a genuine interest in wine is absolutely essential. Wine education is provided for the position via in-store sessions and periodic tastings. Specialist of Wine and Sommelier programs may also be available. The position requires an effortlessly communicative and friendly spirit, prospering in a team environment, and skill in logically prioritizing needs and allocating efforts.

The position starts at up to $10.50 per hour base pay, depending on qualifications, plus applicable overtime. Plus, additional bonuses and commissions are regularly awarded based on performance. Additional increases in base pay are also possible for those who create marketing campaigns that produce, grow their wine knowledge, become adept at evaluating, procuring, and selling wine, and consistently provide thoughtful service. Experienced candidates that produce strong results may start at a higher rate.

Hours are mostly mornings and afternoons with a couple of evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Even if the position holder's future lies in other fields, the knowledge of wine attained in this position will be a valuable social and professional resource for years to come. An abundance of wine knowledge can be as powerful as a great golf game in the business world!
